Fixture Set
The Fixture Set gives a desktop CNC bed a repeatable way to hold parts in place. It suits users cutting the same shape more than once, or anyone who wants cleaner alignment than ad hoc clamps can give.

Repeatable clamping on the bed
The Fixture Set is for owners who need a more controlled way to hold work on the machine bed. It is aimed at repeat jobs, tidier setup, and fewer avoidable problems caused by inconsistent clamping on a desktop CNC.
Workholding changes with the stock you load. Thin plywood, acrylic sheet, small aluminium plate, and machined plastics each need different pressure and clearance so the cutter can pass safely without striking hardware. South African workshops also contend with dust, mixed board quality, and occasional power interruptions, which makes a consistent fixture setup worth the effort.
Before the first proper run, check where the stops sit, how the part references, and whether the cutter clears every clamp point. A quick setup note kept near the machine helps when a spoilboard is resurfaced, a job returns months later, or another person must repeat the same placement.
What the set helps control
Used properly, the Fixture Set reduces small setup variations that spoil repeat work. Parts can be located against the same edges, clamping can stay out of the toolpath, and bed space is easier to organise for short production runs or classroom use.
Match the Fixture Set to the machine bed, the stock thickness, and the type of repeat work you do most often. Review the mounting points, spoilboard condition and accessory fit before ordering, and note any existing bench layout or machine configuration.

Holding work through power cuts
Bench conditions differ widely from one shop to the next. Some machines live in shared maker spaces, some in school departments, and some on crowded production benches with tooling, offcuts, and dust competing for room, so fixture hardware must be placed with access and cleaning in mind.
Coastal air changes cleaning and storage. Inland dust changes how often rails, shields, and work surfaces need attention. Power cuts affect when you start a long run. A demo slot should prove the machine on real material, not fill time with sales talk.

Information that helps specify it
Send the machine model, bed size, typical material, and the sort of parts you repeat most often. Photos of the current spoilboard and any existing clamping arrangement are useful when the question is really about clearance, reach, or placement.
Keep a record of zero position, stop locations, and any offsets used with the fixture. That makes later runs easier to repeat when a buyer, lecturer, or workshop lead asks how the parts were held and referenced.
